We supply these Alloy Steel Gr 9 Bars in accordance with DIN, ISO, JIS or ANSI Standard.
Alloy Steel Gr 9 Bars serve a wide range of uses that are as varied as the industries relying on them, led mainly by the aerospace, railway, construction and automotive industries along with petrochemical, nuclear, medical, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Nuclear, Thermal Power plants, Paper and Pulp, marine and mining, etc.
Grade 9 Alloy Steel Bars, in spite of their resistance to corrosion, can be prone to galvanic corrosion under specific circumstances. Galvanic corrosion happens when two dissimilar metals or alloys are in electrical contact while an electrolyte (like moisture) is present. Should Grade 9 Alloy Steel Bars make direct contact with a more noble metal (like aluminum or stainless steel) within a conductive setting, galvanic corrosion can result. To reduce this risk, it is advisable to use proper insulation or compatible materials in assemblies so that direct contact between unlike metals is avoided and the likelihood of galvanic corrosion is minimized.
